The automatic document feeder (ADF) is also present in this printer and adds ten pages of the plain sheet to the input section. This ADF feature can accommodate an input width range between 5.8 and 8.5 inches and an input height between 5.8 and 14 inches. The paper tray of this device has an input capacity of 100 plain sheets of standard sizes while the output tray holds up to 50 sheets of printed paper.
The standard internal memory of this device is a 16 MB of RAM while the device also supports the use of an external TAD interface. To connect a computer system with this device, it takes a standard USB 2.0 hi-speed port.
The faxing process works at a transmission speed of approximately 6 seconds and a modem speed of 14400 bps. The printer also supports the use of plain paper, envelopes, labels, transparencies and photo papers. The coding method for a monochrome printer includes MH, MMR, MR and JPEG support for colored printing. The color depth is about 256 levels with adequate backing for dual access printing and an error correction mode (ECM).
This Brother MFC-260C printer is also capable of broadcasting up to 90 locations at maximum with internal memory to save up to 200 pages at the axing mode. Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
