The printer supports an automatic document feeder (ADF) as a supplement to the main input tray. This ADF feature can hold up to 10 pages of plain or legal paper while the main input tray can hold up to 100 sheets of plain paper. The output tray, on the other hand, can only hold about 50 pages of printed plain sheets, all of the standard weight of 80 gsm. The usual connectivity option is through the hi-speed USB 2.0 port and an additional opportunity of Ethernet LAN network port.
The internal memory capacity of the printer is a 32 MB of RAM component while it also supports the use of an external TAD interface. The operating conditions of the printer involve a temperature range between 10 and 350C for normal operations and between 20 and 330C for best print quality. The standard humidity measurements should be between 20 and 80% without condensation for both routine work and best print quality.
The printer also supports not only systems with Windows OS but also Macintosh OS from OS X 10.2.4 to higher versions. The supported Windows OS versions include Windows 2000, Me, XP, XP Pro x64 edition and Windows 98 (SE). Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.

- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
