The Brother MFC-8460N printer model is a multifunction device that can print, copy, scan, send and receive fax messages. The input tray of this printer has a capacity of up to 250 pages of plain paper while there is a multipurpose tray that holds up to 50 pages. There is an optional paper capacity can hold up to 550 sheets of paper with a maximum standard weight of 20 lbs. However, output paper capacity is about 150 printed pages in a face-down pattern. Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.

Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
