The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M681f belongs to the M681 family series that can print, copy, scan and fax documents. Similarly, the printer produces the first page as fast as 6.4 seconds to print in black and color. At the same time, the black and color print resolution is up to 1200 x 1200 dots per inch. The printer is capable of producing up to 100,000 pages in a single month, but the manufacturer recommends much less. The recommended volume is between 2000 and 14,000pages in a month, to enjoy maximum productivity for the device. Also, print technology is a laser print method, while the display component is an 8.0inch color graphics display (CGD). This feature has an adjustable angle of screen with the illuminated home button for a quick return to the printer home menu.
HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M681f allows the use of four different cartridges for cyan, magenta, yellow and black colors. The replacement options, however, include HP 655A for almost 12,5000 pages yield and HP 657X high yield cartridge for 28,000pages. Each of these categories of print cartridges is for different colors, such as cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. The furthermore, the supported print languages are HP PCL6, HP PCL5c, HP postscript level 3 emulation, and native pdf printing.
The device also has an automatic paper sensor that makes paper picking highly effective and avoid paper jam during printing. There are three trays available with further support for HP ePrint, Apple AirPrint, Mopria certification, and Google Cloud Print. Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.

- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
