The HP Deskjet D1460 is part of the D1400 printer series. They are single-function printers, primarily designed for printing in both monochrome and color. Their characteristic features include easy installation and use and creating a borderless printing on a photo paper. Another intriguing feature is the Ink level indicator and the Ink-backup mode. The print speed for black text print on this device is at the rate of 16 ppm after the first page. However, the graphics color page is at the rate of 12 ppm after the first page. Apart from this potential ability, the other factors affecting the print rate include the complexity of the document, system configuration, and the software program. The first regular plain paper print is at a resolution of 600 x 600 dots per inch (dpi) while the maximum is 1200 x 1200 dpi. The color resolution on a plain paper as well is at best 1200 x 1200. However, the maximum optimization is 4800 x 1200 dpi (optimized with Photo REt).

Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.

Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
