With 164.34 mm height, 445.5 mm width, and 493.78 mm depth, the device is sleek and compact. Starting with the printing specifications, it uses an HP PCL3 GUI language. The drop-on-demand thermal inkjet technology has support for 1200 x 600 dpi black, and 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi color. HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4678 printer has a duty cycle of 1200 pages per month.
When it comes to copying specifications, this device uses a digital image processing technology. It can easily make up to 50 copies of the original document at once. You can have a copy preview of the document and also enlarge the document digitally from 25% to 400%.
With the Twain complaint software interface, the scanner can process 1200 x 1200 optical PPI. The device has two scan options, i.e., Scan to email for PDF and JPEG, and Scan to PC. It has the support for 24-bit color and 8-bit grayscale with 256 levels of gray. The copying, printing, and scanning speed varies according to the documents.
Luckily, the device has fax functioning too. It has a walk-up black-and-white and color fax capability with up to 99-speed dials and it fax system has manual fax send and receives feature. It has almost 33.6 Kbps transmission speed. As for the faxing speed, the device takes up nearly 4 seconds per page.

[Installation Instructions] How to Download / Installation procedure
Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
