The Macintosh users working with Mac OS X 10.3.9 to 10.6 can also run the printer smoothly. For this, they require a minimum 128 MB RAM and 150 MB free disk space. It can also run efficiently with Mac OS X 10.13.
After installing the firmware, the user can print the first page within 8 seconds. After this, the printing speed can reach up to 30 pages per minute for monochrome documents. The printer uses HP PCL 5e language, and the print resolution at highest quality printing is 600 x 600 dots per inch.
This printer has a higher capacity to print up to 25000 pages easily successfully. The tray capacity differs between the two input trays and one output tray. The input trays have the capability of up to 75 multipurpose sheets and 250 plain sheets. The output tray, however, has 150 sheets capacity.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
