With its print, fax, copy and scanning capability the user has the convenience to perform all the functions with ease. This printer has full compatibility with all the Windows operating system versions. Out of these for Windows XP the printer requires an Intel Pentium processor added with 128 MB of RAM. For installing the firmware, the system must have 750 MB of free disk space. The higher Windows 7 versions should have a 1 GHz processor, 1 GB RAM, and 2 GB empty storage space. This printer also works smoothly with the latest Windows 8 and Windows 10 operating system versions.
In Mac OS. the printer will connect if the Mac OS X 10.7 or lower versions have Inter Core 2 Duo processor. Added to this it also requires 2 GB of RAM and 1 GB free disk space. The copy resolution also varies between the monochrome and colored documents. For black and white documents it is 300 x 300 dots per inch, and for colored it is 600 x 600 dots per inch. Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
