HP PSC 1610v Printer Overview
The HP PSC 1610v is a model in the PSC 1600 series. It is an all-in-one printer with top quality print, scan and copy modes. The printing mechanism uses the drop-on-demand Thermal Inkjet technology with PCL3 GUI language. Other printer languages include HP PCL level 3 and PCL 10. The speed of the printing depends on the complexity of the document as well as the capacity of the PC. For black, the print resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi and color with HP PhotoREt III. The monthly duty cycle of the HP PSC 1610v printer is 5000 pages (maximum).
This 1610v model has a specific design for printing photos from memory cards. The printer is portable with dimensions of 171 x 438 x 283 mm (HWD).
Media sizes specification
The printer model HP PSC 1610v driver supports quite some media sizes and types. Some of them are Plain papers, Transparencies, Index cards, Envelopes, Photopapers, Banners, and Labels. The supported file format is jpeg. The necessary printing works with a Single Image Print or selected Image Print. Other functions include Cropping print, All Images Print, etc. the standard supported paper sizes include A4, Letter and 4 x 6 in photo paper. The printer can also do borderless printing of 4 x 6 inches.
Scanning specifications
The scanning function has a TWAIN-compliant interface. It has an image editor plus integrated Optical Character Recognition (OCR) package. The scanning resolution includes 1200 x 4800 dpi optical but can be up to 19200 dpi with software. The scan speed mainly depends on the complexity of the document and the capacity of the system in use. The scan color depth is 48-bit with 8-bit grayscale (256 levels of gray). The maximum scan size from glass also is 216 x 297 mm.
Copy specifications
The copy function of the HP 1610v is based on Digital Image Processing and can print up to 99 copies. The digital zoom range is between 25 % to 400 %. The copy functions also include fit to page, many on a page, etc. The speed at which the printer copies is 23 cpm for black and 18 cpm for color. This feature, however, varies by the model of the series in use.
Power specifications
The power consumption of this unique printer model is 40 watts (maximum). The input voltage range is between 90 to 240 VAC at a frequency of 47-63 Hz and a current of 1A. The output voltage, however, is 32 DC volts and 940 mA.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
