The Epson WorkForce 840 printer model runs by print-on-demand thermal inkjet technology, a piezoelectric system. In terms of the print speed, black and color documents run at 38 pages per minute (ppm) at an approximate rate. Besides, black paper printing runs at the rate of 15 images per minute (ipm) under ideal conditions. on the other hand, color documents run at 7.1 ipm on A4 paper. Photo printing with the device on 4 x 6 inches photo paper has an approximate rate of 20 seconds.
The friction feed has a significant paper feeder and an automatic document feeder (ADF). It is also compatible with various standard paper sizes such as A4, A5, B5, A6, legal, photo paper sizes, and envelopes. In comparison, the paper holding capacity for the main input tray is up to 500 sheets of plain A4 paper. Its double-sided print feature is internal under normal conditions. as a scanner, the machine uses the A4 flatbed color image scanner.
Besides, the maximum paper size that is compatible is the A4 size. Simultaneously, the scanning resolution is up to 2400 x 2400 dots per inch (dpi). It runs on pixel depths of 48bits for the primary input and 24bits for the main output. But the monochrome document scan speed is about 7.4 milliseconds per line at a resolution of 2400 dpi. Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.

- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
