HP Officejet J5730 driver Windows Operating System Requirements
The supported versions of Window Operating System include Windows 2000, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The required processor for Windows 2000 and Windows XP is any Intel Pentium II, Celeron, or compatible processor. However, the recommended processor type is an Intel Pentium III or higher versions. For Windows Vista and Windows 7, a modern 800 800 MHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor or higher is acceptable. But the manufacturer recommends a 1 GHz or more top capacity processor type. The minimum internal RAM for Windows 2000 and Windows XP typical installations is 128 MB of RAM. However, the recommended size is a 256 MB of RAM. For systems with Windows Vista and Windows 7, 512 MB of RAM is the minimum requirement while the recommended RAM size is 1 GB or higher.
For smooth installation on Windows 2000 and Windows XP, it requires a minimum free hard disk space of 795 MB. On Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems, typical installation requires a 920 MB of free hard disk space. In addition to these requirements, an additional free hard disk space of 50 MB must be available for full-color scanning. A typical installation also requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or higher versions.
Macintosh Operating System Requirements
The supported operating systems include OS v10.3.8 and v10.4.x while the minimum processor is a G3 or higher. The minimum RAM size is 128 MB while the required capacity is a 256 MB of RAM. For a smooth run of installation, the free space should be 300 MB whereas, the recommended area is 600 MB. The video display monitor should also be 800 x 600 16-bit or higher resolution. The supported browsers are Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher while the recommended version is 6.0 or higher.

Paper Handling Specifications
The Officejet J5730 printer supports some media sizes such as Plain paper, Index cards, Envelopes. Others include Legal, Labels, Transparencies, and 4 x 6 inches Photo paper. The input tray of this device has a capacity of up to 100 sheets of plain sheets. Whereas, the output tray can hold only 50 sheets of plain paper. Limitations

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.

Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
