The speed of the copy function is about 55 pages per minute (ppm) for black and white documents. However, the color document runs at the rate of 41 ppm for this Sharp MX-5500N printer model. The first page copy time on the platen glass takes about 4.5 seconds for the black and white document. But for the color document, the rate is about 8.4 seconds or sometimes even less. The warm-up time for the Sharp MX-5500N printer model is about 360 seconds from the connection time.
At the mode of copying, the user can reduce the output image to about 25% or increase to 400%. These changes occur at 1% increments, while the DSPF mode allows the only enlargement of 200% of the original document size. Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
