HP Officejet Pro 8500 is of two types, the Premier and Wireless all-in-one models. The latter has produced numbers of CB023A, CB794A, and CB874A. The physical sizes include a height of 19.5 inches without the tray two but 15.6 inches with the second tray. The printer width is 13 inches while the weight is 28 lbs with duplexer while it is 34 lbs with tray 2.
HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless Printer Cartridges
The print cartridges are HP 940XL black Officejet ink cartridge, but the HP 940 model works for North America. These cartridges also work for cyan, magenta, and yellow colors. The tray 1, which is the main tray holds about 250 sheets of plain paper. However, the printer also uses a supplementary input tray which is optional, and it also contains approximately 250 sheets of plain paper.

The output tray capacity is about 100 sheets of plain paper of text printing. The supported media types for this printer includes plain paper, transparencies, index cards, envelopes, and labels. It also supports both standard and custom sizes for maximum quality output.
The printing specifications include water resistance, improved fade resistance, and borderless brochure printing. The print resolution for black printing is up to 1200 dpi with pigmented ink while the maximum resolution for color is 4800 x 1200 dpi. The latter applies to print onto HP Premium Plus Photo papers with input reclusion of 1200 x 1200 dpi.
The print method is the drop on demand thermal inkjet technology which allows for economic management of print resources. The device language is the HP PCL 3 enhanced dpi. The print speed differs with the complexity of the document, the print mode, as well as the printer model. The rate for the draft mode is 35 pages per minute (ppm) for black and 34 ppm for color.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable until requested by the installer. If you connect to the network, make sure the network cable is connected before running the installer
Windows
- Close all software programs running on your computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Click the Download button on this page.
- Click the downloaded file. The files will be extracted and the installation process will automatically begin.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to continue and complete the installation.
Mac
- Download the file. For the location where the file is saved, check the computer settings.
- Double-click the downloaded file and mount it on the Disk Image.
- Then Double-click the mounted Disk Image.
- Double-click the packaged file in the folder. Installation starts automatically.
To install later, select Save in step 4 and choose a location on your hard disk. When ready to install, search and double-click the file. This will automatically extract and start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to continue the installation.
